For the Westbury School District, our team was asked to help capture the horrible overcrowding issue of their Middle & High schools. A bond vote for the district was held in March of 2018 - aiming at a 4.7% increase to aid in the much needed expansion of their campus & infrastructure. We went into the schools met the administrators, faculty and students. The passion they share for education, and the strong sense of community they take pride in was endearing - despite the hardships they’ve endured in the learning environments.
The pre-vote campaign was launched by one of our partner firms, Zimmerman/Edelson Inc. of Great Neck, Long Island across digital/social media outlets.
Months later, I was invited to photograph the Westbury High School Class of 2018 Graduation Ceremony at LIU: CW Post Location. I was greeted by the superintendent who graciously allowed me access to anywhere on the premises to capture this beautiful moment for the staff, students and families.
